Veronica Brand
Facilitator
Facilitators work directly with young people, run regular group sessions and help young people develop positive relationship that enables them to live successfully in their homes.
Hi there, I’m lucky enough to be currently co-facilitating the first ever Surrey House Project.
It’s dedicated to supporting some of my favourite people, care leavers and asylum seekers.
Having worked with young people for many years, they continue to inspire and amaze me with their resilience, determination, and sense of fun.
Having ADHD and Autism myself I’m always keen to advocate for the vulnerable or just to lend an ear to their story.
My own interests are mountain biking, painting furniture, climbing and yoga.

Aspirational Awards Update
In May, the Aspirational Awards panel awarded just over £15,000 to 19 young people across our LHPs. It was inspiring to see such a wide range of ideas, goals and determination reflected in the applications, and a privilege to support more young people as they take their next steps forward. Funding in Round 9 supported training + graduate employment scheme, equipment for a baking business and support for other businesses, sports sessions, music lessons, lifeguard course, and day trips. We have also recently completed a 3 year review of our Aspirational Awards and the impact they’ve had. Over the past 3 years, we’ve awarded over £147,000 to 138 young people (not including figures from our most recent round in May). If you would like to find out more about how to support the Aspirational Awards please get in touch.
